@HPS_Vanessa Only way I can think of is to move all your existing photos to a different folder (eg. not the place your camera saves them by default), and then make sure you tell the app not to back up that folder - then carry on as normal and it should back up new shots.On twitter.com

@HPS_Vanessa Though its duplicate detection is pretty good (for Google's own sake) so you could trial it by doing the above method then copy over a few dozen existing photos and see what it does - it might need to "upload" them to compare metadata, but not actually store a second version.Permalink On twitter.com
