The thing that amazed me the most about Iceland (besides the stunning natural beauty) was the health of its citizens. They have public baths there (free to over 67s) which over here would be considered health spas. They're everywhere, open all the time, and cost us a fiver.Permalink On twitter.com

There's something good for the soul (let alone just the body) about relaxing in naturally heated hot water. Plus the whole community turns out to talk there - it's like the pub but without liver damage.On twitter.com
