      Update: took my bike to the bike repair shop. Me: "Hi, I got hit by a car this morning". Attendant: (unfazed) "Yep, happens to us all."

        Also texted the driver and he said "I've been on the receiving end before". Is it just an accepted part now of riding a bike on a road?
