@readthewriter @writebikerepeat I work for an org behind a paywall and IMO things that defeat them aren't a threat to that business model (due to scale - would a million people use them?). But that might not be true for stuff with smaller subscriber bases where they're more dependent on goodwill of payees.

@readthewriter @writebikerepeat I get your point though. In general I'll always argue against paywall-defeating sites (even when I don't work for one 😅) because ultimately they put the writers at risk IMO.
