    I even didn't try to argue when he said he didn't like Paul McCartney because his entourage refused to let him have a pint on their bar tab when Macca was having a (private) family function at my dad's local pub at some point in the 1970s.

      This story, incidentally, gets more and more elaborate depending on how much my dad's had to drink when he tells it. In some versions he ends up singing round a piano with Paul and Linda
