  1. Starting a songwriting course this week (taught by the singer from Fleet Foxes) and I'm excited for the results but also annoyed that I'm having to pay real money to re-learn how to do something that I had the ability to do as a 17 year old

      Admittedly I'm hoping that the results are a bit more sophisticated this time around but I'll take what I can get

        Turns out the downside of an additional 18 years of musical development is having a much wider set of examples to compare yourself against and think "that's rubbish, it just sounds like X". Oh for a beginner's mind!
