Read The Ballad of Black Tom by Victor LaValle this week and highly recommend it. Not only is it a great short horror story, but it grapples with HP Lovecraft's racism and xenophobia (eg. by inverting the story and leads) and also builds on the world he created. Really smart.

Also my phone tried to autocorrect that to "HP LaserJet", who presumably writes tales of a race of non-Euclidean printers which lie in deathless slumber at the bottom of a sea of expensive yet putrescent ink.

I know laserjets don't use ink but adding laser beams to the Great Old Ones feels anachronistic (and a bit redundant)
