Being up early (5.30 in this case) with a wide-awake baby means you start to develop quite strong opinions about CBeebies shows. Hey Duggee, for example: brilliant, slightly surreal. Peter Rabbit, though: smug. Why is he a posh-sounding southerner? Theme tune is too try-hard.

Biggleton, though, is amazing. I don't think Ted cares much but it somehow surprises me every time it's on. Even the wonky themetune is great.

So this morning @maddymcgarrie had set a timer for CBeebies to come on, meaning the show we were watching was interrupted by this scene from Biggleton which made me briefly wonder whether society had been taken over by children.

Every episode of Bing that I've watched (2) has featured dog poo as a plot element.

Baby Jake is an exercise in redundancy. There's a 5 minute long intro where all ten kids in the family are introduced along with the windmill they live in. NONE OF THEM EVER FEATURE IN ANY EPISODE.
-
The poor kids who got cast for those roles. They're literally only in the title sequence. And yet Pengy Quin manages to appear in every episode, even somewhere a penguin can't physically be (like, say, outer space)
