  1. Saw Crimes of Grindelwald last night. Movie itself was a bit sloppy/inconsistent, but I couldn't help seeing Grindelwald's "rally" (to persuade wizards to persecute muggles) as a pretty good commentary on Tommy Robinson and co: (mild spoilers ahead)

      Grindelwald makes a point of saying he doesn't hate Muggles and doesn't want to get rid of them all (eg. similar to far right "manifestoes" that talk about voluntary repatriation of non-whites etc, and denying these movements are anti-Muslim)

        He also (spoiler ahead!) engineers a scenario where an Auror kills one of his supporters in the crowd and he asks them not to respond, pointing out "it is not we who are violent". Felt very reminiscent of the far right trying to paint antifa protesters as the "real" aggressors.

          I'm not really sure these movies needed to be made but they do make some parallels that are interesting in what's basically a specially effects demo reel - more of this, please.
