      A similarly-attired Scottish guy tried to rescue me ("there's someone outside asking for you") but I failed to realise this until afterwards. When I left the bar staff were gathered around me asking what he was saying.

    All of this said, I'm really enjoying Glasgow and how friendly everyone is (even my pissed English compadre). And the brewery (Drygate) was fantastic.
