@suellewellyn Honestly, I can't think of a technically feasible way for Facebook and co to be constantly listening. Plus they don't need to, they have the data - presumably already know your demographics and what kind of things you might be up for buying?

@suellewellyn Like... The loo brush is as much about aesthetics as it is the product, an OAP wouldn't buy it but a millennial might (which FB knows your daughter is?). I agree it feels spooky but the truth is probably much more mundane
