    1. Our new neighbours just brought us a plate of assorted samosas (it's their tradition with their neighbours) as they're currently breaking their fast for Ramadan and I've never loved Birmingham more <3

    Update: so we tried bringing them back some sweets from America to celebrate Eid but they BEAT US TO IT and delivered three plates of incredible food 30 minutes after we got home from holiday last night. IN THEIR EID OUTFITS! We have the best neighbours.

      So not only did our neighbours bring us sweets and snacks to commemorate Eid (which we don't celebrate), they just came round to bring us a bag of presents for Christmas – which *they* don't celebrate. A bit overwhelmed with gratitude/gratefulness.
